Do you have a salon business and want to create a website for it? Then you’ve come to the right place.

In this article, you will learn how to create a salon website from scratch without having to code a single line. Not only that, but I am also going to show you some examples of great online salons to get you inspired.

How to make a professional website for your salon business in a few easy steps

In order to explain how you can create a website quickly and easily, I will be using Zyro. It is my favorite website building platform as it is incredibly user-friendly and packs a set of powerful features and AI-powered tools.

What’s more, it’s also very affordable compared to other competitors.

1. Pick a domain name that represents your salon’s brand

A domain name acts like an address that people have to enter on their web browsers to visit your website.

As an important part of identity for your online business, make sure to pick a domain that best represents your brand. This way, your website will be easily recognizable and memorable.

If you already have a name for your salon, the next step would be to check its availability. With Zyro, you can simply head to the domain checker and search for your desired name.

If it’s available, you can buy and register it right away. If not, it will recommend other available domain options for you to choose from.

In case you haven’t come up with a salon name, Zyro also has a business name generator that should come in handy.

All you need to do is to enter one or two keywords that best represent your business. You’ll see tons of recommendations to choose from and there are no attached costs for using this tool.

2. Choose a website builder template that reflects your business’ image

The next step is to choose a template that aligns with your salon image. This is important because the design will determine how people will perceive your business.

Fortunately, all Zyro templates are free and there is a dedicated category of templates that should look great for a wide variety of beauty salon ideas.

My favorite pre-designed themes are Rebekah and Jaye, but there are a number of different beauty and hair salon website designs you can pick from.

Rebekah is a beautiful one-page template that has built-in pricing and “Contact Us” sections.

On the other hand, Jaye has a minimalistic design that brings a sense of familiarity and uniqueness for your beauty and hair salon website. Your customers will be able to easily navigate through your products or services.

3. Tweak the template to further make it your own

Choosing a template is just the beginning. After that, you should personalize it to make it stand out from the rest. Since I am using Zyro, this process is easy and doesn’t take much time.

This is possible thanks to the drag-and-drop editor, which allows you to add, move, and edit web elements with a single click.

What’s interesting is that it also uses a grid system which makes sure that any element you place on your page snaps into place and always looks great.

This is the functionality that I find particularly useful. As someone who didn’t have any experience building a website before, it was handy to know that everything would be perfectly aligned without any effort.

4. Add the most important information about your business

While you are tweaking your template, make sure to add the most important information about your beauty and hair salon in the “Contact Us” section. This should include your opening hours, pricing list, location, and contact details.

If you want to step it up a notch, you could also add customer reviews and reservation forms to your beauty and hair salon website. It will not only showcase your professionalism but also encourage your visitors to try out your services, bringing in more potential clients.

The idea is to make it as easy as possible for customers to access information about your salon, and to contact you if they want to make a booking.

Try and think of everything someone might want to know and make sure it’s accessible.

5. Create additional content to showcase your salon and make it more appealing to visitors

Adding images and videos of your work is one of the best ways to promote your beauty and hair salon website. It helps customers visualize your skills and qualifications so they are more likely to trust you.

Furthermore, you can create a blog to attract more new visitors and engage loyal customers.

You have the option to write content about the latest fashion trends, inform people about discounts, and share business updates with your readers.

Remember, salon businesses are all about visuals and style. Make sure to demonstrate to potential customers what you can do. Make sure you’re always up to date with the latest fashions.

6. Post its web address and relevant info on the most relevant platforms

Now that everything is ready, it’s time to launch your salon website.

Once your website is up and running, you need to let people know about it. I recommend trying out free social platforms first so you wouldn’t have to pay for any additional promotional material.

First of all, you can create a social media account for your salon or promote it on your personal account. Facebook, Instagram, and LinkedIn are great places to reach a wider audience for free.

Secondly, set up a page on Google My Business and Yelp to make it easier for your new clients to find you and browse through your business reviews.

By doing this, you’re also increasing the chance of being found when someone searches for a nearby salon.

Lastly, you have the option to share your website with friends, colleagues, and family on messaging apps, such as WhatsApp, iMessage, and so on.

7. Promote your salon’s website and drive traffic to it

Posting a website on social media platforms is a great way to start attracting new clients. However, you will have to consider investing some money if you really want to expand your business reach.

This includes paying for paid ads on search engines and social media. While it might cost you a lot, this kind of promotion is effective since you can target certain types of people that are likely to be interested in your business.

Another way to rack up more followers is to start a content marketing campaign. To do this, you need to constantly provide valuable information both on your social media profiles or blog.

If you’re considering writing a blog, also remember to implement SEO practices into your blog. By having a higher search engine ranking, you will improve your online visibility and increase traffic to your site.

Some stunning beauty and hair salon websites to help you get inspired

Browsing through some great beauty salon websites is a great way to find inspiration. Obviously you should aim to create your own unique website, but there’s nothing wrong with getting some tips from others who are doing it well.

Here are some of my favorite beauty and hair salon website examples.

The Parlour

The Parlour is a good example of what a complete beauty salon website should look like. It has a navigation menu at the top that covers the most important info about the business, such as location, online booking, and “About Us” page.

Furthermore, this salon also displays the prices of their services and what type of products they are using. This is a good practice to follow if you want to attract potential clients to book an appointment with your own hair salon.

The website itself looks classic, thanks to the light brown background colors and use of time-proven fonts. That being said, it adds some modern touch to it by rocking big header images and slick animations.

This style of website is great for communicating a sense of timeless style.

Cuts & Bruises

If you want to have a website for your barbershop, Cuts & Bruises is one of the best choices to take inspiration for your own website ideas.

My favorite part about it is that its Instagram feed is integrated with the page, which shows what can you expect when visit the barbershop. What’s more, the website writes a detailed description of what you will get from a certain treatment.

Its retro design and friendly brand image also make for an appealing customer experience.

If you have an alternative or quirky approach at your salon, you might consider trying to create a similar style for yourself. This is especially helpful for smaller businesses to establish their personality.

Muse Salon and Spa

Muse Salon and Spa perfectly demonstrates how to create a site that invokes a sense of luxury. This is achieved by combining elegant design and a well-written copy throughout their webpages.

Moreover, Muse Salon and Spa mostly use monochrome images, which is a bold move for this kind of business since these colors are not traditionally calming.

That being said, the black and white colors further emphasize the sophisticated look on this website.

Another part that you might want to simulate from Muse Salon and Spa is their “Artist” page. It’s a separate section that introduces all of the salon employees so the customers can get to know their professionals and learn about their qualifications.

It’s important to remember that any stylistic choice you make on your website should represent your brand. If black and white feels too serious or moody, then don’t go with it.

Toni and Guy

Toni and Guy is a salon that wants to keep their website as simple as possible. There are no complex transition elements or animations, but it manages to remain eye-catching and functional.

As for site navigation, the website makes use of its entire page to showcase all of its services. As a result, users can still easily navigate through the site even though there is no menu bar at the top.

Besides its design, you also need to take note of their business ideas. For example, they came up with their own online shop, hairdressing education program, and online magazine to provide more than just beauty salon services.

Nail Pop Art Salon

Nail Pop Art Salon proves that a beauty salon website can be also playful while maintaining a professional look. They have made sure that every illustration is visually appealing yet inconspicuous to the overall experience.

This is important since Nail Pop Art adopts a one-page template, where the layout needs to be compact and effective at the same time.

Apart from displaying colorful images, Nail Pop Art also doesn’t shy away from using unique typefaces on their website. This is great for separating different sections of the page, which also makes it appear flashy and cheerful.

This is a prime example of how sometimes more is more. It can be easy to go over the top when you take this kind of approach to website design, but if you know what you’re doing, the results can really be amazing.

So, should you hire a web developer to create your website or should you do it yourself?

Using a site builder to create a website removes the need of hiring a professional developer. It allows you to set up and customize your page by yourself, thanks to the drag-and-drop site builder and user-friendly interface.

Furthermore, if you choose Zyro, you also have access to a bunch of AI-powered tools that can make your job even easier. They can help you style and brand not only your website, but your business as a whole.

Now that you have learned all about how to create a salon website, it’s time for you to start building one.
